I hope you are safe there.
Watching your cell calls -- will your cell run out of batteries. Do you have enough food? They are evacuating the city entirely it sounds like.
I too hope your safe. Are you armed? Can you defend yourself if necessary?

They "loot" for food and water. they're not stealing stereos.
Not true. They are stripping stores of anything not nailed down. People are leaving the Superdome to loot on Canal Street. Check out the Times/Picayune:
