Rita
I want to drop a quick line to everyone who is potentially in the path of Hurricane Rita...
Best of luck and we're with you on this.

Thanks, we sure will need it. Pray for us as well as Hurrican katirna victims!
my family appreciates your sentiments. i've lost 2 cousins to Katrina (literally lost, can't find them anywhere), but the majority of my family is in the current path of Rita. i pray we don't have a repeat.
TAG - Thanks for your support I have been reading your blog since before Katrina - like when you were actually talking about sailing - I am a member of HYC and will be hitting the road in an hour or so from Seabrook, TX - if anything after reading your blog - you have given me courage to face whatever I am going to face the next few days.. weeks...whatever!!!
Thanks!!!!
Good notes about the neighbors in the Lessons - we're all pooling resources and info as we wait out Rita here in Houston. Think good thoughts for us - we're much better prepared after reading about your experiences, so I thank you in advance!
As much as I hate to wish this storm on anyone, I prayed that it would strike farther down on the Texas coast in order to spare Louisiana and Houston, even if that meant we take a hit in Austin.
A lot of my prayers lately haven't been answered, so what are you gonna do, y'know?
Stay dry, friend, and keep us all posted.
Dont know the Louisiana geography too well but how is Iberia gonna hold up during the Rita fest? Hope you are all okay-including,of course the animals
Merry
