Some good news, I received almost 20 gallons of gas today from neighbors. How cool is that. I'm splurging right now and am getting the freezer fully frozen and plan on getting heavily caught up on the news.
We're starting to see humvees patrolling the neighborhood. This is a good thing. That's Rosedown St. on the left. (it's surprisingly in good shape though I don't know if it flooded or not.)
Surprisingly light number of people returning to the neighborhood, and those that have come are not staying.
Cruising around on my bike, there are two main things that you smell... fresh cut wood of all types and the aromas of death and rot. This will only become more pronounced as the people who are returning are cleaning out their refrigerators, placing it in trash bags and leaving them out on the curb. The raccoons are going to have a field day for a bit, and then it's gonna stink.
Do these people actually think there is going to be garbage collection tomorrow or something?
I'll be typing at y'all in a little bit.
