Greetings from Helsinki Finland (up in norhern Europe ;)
Have been checking out The Interdictors blog from NO the whole way long and yours as well.

The international media is still confusing me. Is NO to be opened for is residents (if, which ones? the white and rich only?) and -if it´s the case - how should I understand the messages of huge areas polluted by ledded / poisoned water, a mass invasion of flies and rats etc etc.

Foremost, when and who is going to collect up the rests of the bodies, or could the Bush administration be so cruel that they will let "mother nature" help to shrink the counting.

I mean after a week or two more and some alligators having a feast there cant be that many dead ones to count?

Any numbers of persons missing? I mean if about a million citizens left NO of which some in a forced hurry, a death toll of like 600 sounds a Bushism.

Whats up for real?

A hug to all of you from Alexandra

Hi, Tag. I hear your frustration about some of the idiotic plans by out-of-towners to write off or disney-fy New Orleans.

Don't just tell us -- organize. Are you getting together with other people in our neighborhood and in your communities? Are you following the reconstruction news? Do you know some people who are involved (local officials, state officials, business people?) Who do you know who is one degree of separation from decision-makers? Are you talking to these people behind the scenes? Are there public meetings yet, and are you showing up? Do you know any reporters, and are you talking to them?

I've done some successful organizing in Texas. A small number of informed and active citizens can have a surprisingly big impact.

Codrescu is just pissed off because he has no married women upon which to prey right now, the bastard!

Hah!

Maybe he'll go live in Charleston or Savannah.
