T,
You sound so depressed hope everything is ok. Things are starting to happen here. They are really cleaning things up. There is a big volunteer event that I am going to tomorrow to clean up Magazine Street. The Prytania Theater is open, Bob and Liz saw a movie there last weekend. PJ's on Mag is open so are almost all of the restaurants and bars with the exception of St.Joe's don't know what is taking them so long. Alot is happening, you can tell just by the traffic. Being New Orleans noone is paying any attention to road signs such as Stop and One Way, that is a little frustrating but proves things are getting back to "normal". Cheer up and hurry home I have no one to go out with. Bud is coming back in a week although I am not sure if she is staying or just visiting. I am getting bored here all by myself!!
Talk soon,
Stacey
...for those just tuning in, Troy actually is the most upbeat he's been...
...have you thought of just heading West to Cali? I have friends there...could try to hook you up. Don't get me wrong, it would be valiant to go back to NOLA...but maybe if you left for a while...maybe 12 to 18 months...you could come back and 'deal'...It will all still be there. Not sure what type of work you do (although i know it's writing-oriented), but having peace of mind and resources of a town could enable you to do a LOT for the people of New Orleans through your writing...make regular trips back, etc....but stay away to stay sane for a while...Just a thought...You sound better than you have so far in your sound clip, Troy - keep hangin' in! : )
